Class Experience
Students will go on an adventure with Teacher Megan as we learn about all kids of birds! We will start with an introduction taking turns talking about where you're from and what wildlife is in your area. We will discuss all different types of birds we see at home We will also be learning fun facts about backyard birds as well as birds across the world! Then we will create a homemade bird feeder to hang in your yard, porch, trees, ETC. Some birds we will learn about are Penguins, Blue Jay's,...
Students will learn about the different birds in their area and how to make their own bird feeder.
Around 1-2 feet of string, ribbon, or yarn 1-2 Toilet paper rolls Peanut Butter Plastic knife or Popsicle stick Plate Bird seed or crushed up nuts/seeds
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please note we will be using peanut butter in this lesson, so please be aware of any food allergies.
