Class experience
In this 9-week class, students will learn the names of all the presidents in the history of the United States. Each class will feature several presidents and their major contributions to the history of the United States. Since music is one of the easiest ways of learning facts, we will start off each class with a song about all the presidents. If time permits, we will sing this song again at the end of class to help commit it to memory. We will also cover where the presidents were born, some...
Students will learn all the names of the presidents in order of their term in office.
I have been teaching United States history and geography for years in my own homeschool curriculum through unit studies. I greatly enjoy bringing art, music, science, geography, math, social studies and language arts into a lesson that is fun and engaging. I have lived in the United States for the great majority of my life and have enjoyed learning more and more about the history of this diverse country! Learning the names and contributions of all of the different presidents is fun and rewarding for students, and I cannot wait to share this knowledge with your student!
Printable homework will be provided after each class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This class will focus primarily on learning the order and names of the presidents, as well as some of their key contributions. Please note that some sensitive topics will be unavoidable in class discussions, such as wars and assassinations. I will make every effort to keep the class light and fun!
