US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this class, students will be introduced to each baby turtle, learn their name, and also learn about caring for water turtles. We will talk about the importance of the sun (or a heat lamp) for the turtles shell health and the variety of foods turtles eat as well as explain the best indoor and outdoor environment for pet turtles. During class, learners may color their choice of the turtle pictures that can be found and printed from the Classroom Tab and fill out the Turtle Care worksheet (if able) as we go over the topics on it. The worksheet packets are listed according to age so feel free to print off the one that best fits your learner. I encourage learners to bring a turtle stuffed animal to class if they have one. I will share mine!! Towards the end of class we will play a fun game to see who can remember what they've learned about the turtles during class. Learners are encouraged to email me their finished coloring/worksheets after class via the teacher messaging portal for a personal teacher reply! :) Ms. Ally

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello Outschool families!
My name is Ally and I have taught a variety of classes on Outschool such as Kindergarten Camp, 'All About Turtles, Scavenger Hunts, Animal Science, Graphic Design with Canva, All About Whales, Rainforests, and more! I'm often adding new classes so I hope you'll keep watch of my class listings and if you have one you'd like to see please let me know! I just might create one around that topic. I have a Master's in Elementary Education with a Minor in Child Psychology. I love teaching and have been in some capacity for most of my adult career whether as a Trainer in the Corporate world, a Teacher in brick and mortar classrooms, as a Professional Nanny, Homeschooling my own child or teaching ESL and Academic classes online across the globe.
In my classroom I like to maintain an environment where each child is encouraged participate at their comfort level. I love the quiet observers, the thinkers, and the ones who jump at the chance to answer questions. Learning should be fun and that is my goal in each class that I teach. I hope to see your learner soon!
