Class Experience

I am a certified veterinary technician and have bred, raised, trained and shown horses for many years. I have been teaching veterinary and equine science in both the college level and for youth for 7 years and have enjoyed every minute of it! It is exciting to share my love for horses with the next generation of equestrians!
Handouts may be provided and will be posted week by week in the classroom for printing. These are not mandatory for class, but will provide follow up materials to class discussions when appropriate.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
This course does discuss the mare (female horses) reproductive tract during the discussion of prenatal care and foaling. Some photos will include birthing and may contain the afterbirth and/or blood/fluids. Additional YouTube videos on birthing and mare/foal care may be shown in class, or posted for followup viewing.
