In this class, Learners will learn about cells 1.Through Power-Point Slides and article "Cells: Building Blocks of Living Things" by Cindy Sherwood, learners will learn about amazing cells that we are made up of. Learners will take a journey into the structure of human (animal) cells. 2. They will get opportunity to ask and answer questions about cells orally or in writing. 3. To further understand the different parts inside a cell, they will watch a video about important organelles of a human cell, such as the nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, lysosomes and Golgi bodies. 4. They will again have the opportunity to show what they learned by answering the quiz following the video. 5. Learners will then work on a fun activity, on the worksheet they will identify cell parts by writing the name of each animal cell part shown in the diagram. Learners will further enjoy this activity by coloring their cell diagram and sharing it with the class.

Learners will need paper and pencil. A day or two before the class starts, I will send out the worksheets that need to be printed for the class.
