Description

Class Experience

Your students may be an animal enthusiast, want to be a farmer, a zoologist or is just curious about the world around them.
Join me at my farm where students will learn fun facts about pigs. 

Students will be encouraged to engage and share what they know about pigs (no prior knowledge is necessary).
Videos and photos of pigs will allow students to explore and learn about animals they may not see frequently in person. 
After learning about pigs, students will make a pig craft and learn how to...

I have lived on a farm for the last 8 years, we have raised all different animals, some include: cows, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and more! I also taught in an in home preschool for 2 years and worked with children for more than 10 years in various capacities. I am a local 4H leader where I teach youth about raising and caring for various animals and specialize in goat and poultry care.

For Craft:
pink paper plate (can be a white one that has been colored or painted pink as well)
pink colored paper
pink pipe cleaner
black marker
scissors
glue (glue stick is suggested but liquid will work too)
masking or clear tape

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Scissors, glue and markers will be used when making the craft, younger students may need parent assistance with creating the craft if these tools are hard for them to use independently.
