Learn About 4-Leaf Clovers | Solve a Science Mystery | Celebrate St. Patrick's Day!
What's included
1 live meeting
50 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Saint Patrick's Day Science Challenge! Students in this class collaborate to solve a real life Science mystery involving a population of 3 and 4 leaf clovers. I introduce some basic genetics ideas that will help students understand clover variation at a deeper level. Students are challenged to use this knowledge and their critical thinking skills to form hypotheses to explain why 4-leaf clovers are disappearing. I will be there to help students form and evaluation their hypotheses and - in the end - we will figure the mystery out together. We will also have time at the end of class to consider how to best conserve and manage the remaining 4 leaf clovers in our park.
