Students will be introduced to, have time to practice, and learn a song about the 6 colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) in sign language (American Sign Language ASL)!

Students will learn 6 colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple) with music, dancing, and fun in this one-time class! We will only focus on the 6 rainbow colors. Students will sit for a portion of the class and will also need to be able to get up and move those bodies with those brains! Some students may need more time than the class in order to remember all of the colors. However, students will learn a song to remember them and be able to practice and teach others at home! Practice makes better! No required experience or prior knowledge necessary.

As an elementary school teacher, I used American Sign Language in the classroom to assist with everyday classroom management and concepts. I am not an "ASL teacher" and do not claim to know all signs; however, I have learned and continue to use many signs in my daily life. Knowing basic signs enhances verbal language and also gives us another way to communicate with each other. It is also important to note that learning other languages gives us an awareness of other people around us who only communicate via sign language. I believe ASL is an essential language and knowing any other language(s) is a wonderful way to learn and interact with others in the world!Reviews
