Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in Spanish.
Students will read and write Spanish words and sentences with syllables composed of the five vowels and consonants M, P, S, and L.
I received a minor in the Spanish language with my bachelor degree (2011). Later, I went on to complete the seven-week, level-five Spanish course at Roca Blanca Spanish School in Catalotepec, Mexico (2018). I have taught group Spanish classes to a variety of ages over a span of five years, four years of which were online. In 2018-2019, I led a preschool co-op in Spanish, primarily to children who were already fluent. Additionally, I have been raising my children primarily in Spanish since 2016. My almost five-year-old has recently started reading in Spanish, and I have provided the instruction and assistance he has needed and continues to need along the way.
Optional follow-up homework will be provided weekly, such as a brief worksheet or printable version of a book we read in class.
- Weekly one-page writing practice print-out to be provided before each class meeting - Writing implement such as a pencil (An optional follow-up material, such as a worksheet or printable version of a book we read in class will also be provided each week to complete outside of class time.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
