Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in Spanish.
I received a minor in the Spanish language with my bachelor degree (2011). Later, I went on to complete the seven-week, level-five Spanish course at Roca Blanca Spanish School in Catalotepec, Mexico (2018). I have taught group Spanish classes to a variety of ages over a span of six years, five of which have been online. In 2018-2019, I led a preschool co-op in Spanish, primarily to children who were already fluent. Additionally, I have been raising my children primarily in Spanish since 2016. My older child reads fluently in Spanish, and my younger child is learning letter sounds and sight words, and I have provided the instruction and assistance they need along the way.
These are the weekly assignments: 1 - Read the syllable booklet (Submit as a video through the integrated Zoom function in the Outschool classroom page.) 2 - Read the beginning reader book of the week (Either on their own, with help, or by repeating as they look at the words. (Submit as a video through the integrated Zoom function in the Outschool classroom page.) 3 - Complete two worksheets--one while watching the teacher's guiding video, the other to complete on their own. (Submit as photos in the Outschool classroom.) 4 - Play the provided game of the week with family or friends.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Some provided materials will need to be cut with scissors.
