I worked as a leader and teacher in the nonprofit sector for more than 20 years. This includes volunteering in social enterprises from homeless shelters, the Big Brother program, Boy’s Clubs, tutoring in the barrios of Northwest Pasadena and Costa Mesa, and home construction in the dumps of Mexico. In all of these settings, I was integrally involved in leadership training and development. Business Experience • I’ve started 4 companies and learned valuable lessons from each. • I ran Real Estate businesses that earning more than $80M a year. • I’ve hired, trained, and helped launch > 50 staff. • I have had > 10 student interns working in various capacities in companies I’ve owned. • I love guiding students to prepare to be business owners. • Most of my closest friends are entrepreneurs and business owners. • Business mentoring, coaching, and teaching are all among my strongest gifts.
