In each lesson, young learners learn the sounds of one to two alphabet letters, common words, and phrases in French about the winter season. Short poems and songs are used in class to help with fluency in speaking.

Do you have a young learner that you want to introduce to the French alphabet and language? Current classes in December and January focus on arctic and antarctic animals, winter words, holidays, and phrases. Colors: red, blue, yellow, green, black, white, orange, gold, and silver. Learners will be able to name letters of the alphabet in French. Learners will pronounce common vocabulary words in French. Learners will speak French in a conversational pattern.
I speak French as a second language and travel there as often as life allows. I have taught French as an elective class in middle school grades. I have teaching degrees in both early childhood, as well as elementary education.

For learners who are making a French theme booklet: It will be easier for learners to color before cutting apart the images. Parents may want to help with cutting or supervise their learners when using scissors, glue, or tape.
