Class Experience
I will present - in an engaging and fun way so you don't fall asleep - the basics of what you can expect to learn in law school primarily during the first year including the areas of law of torts, contracts, property law, criminal law and procedure and (of course) constitutional law. Torts are non-criminal injuries. Contracts covers different types of legal agreements. Property law deals with land and houses. Criminal law has to do with crimes rights of the accused. To get a better idea of what law school can be all about, especially in the first difficult year where many people can feel lost, and understand how the law is presented and why. Warning - law school can be boring, really depends on the professor, like many other educational pursuits in life.
I am a law school graduate; I worked for the Department of Justice in Oregon and also a private civil rights firm in addition to an intellectual property firm in NYC. I am also an atypical JD, coming from an artist and filmmaking background, with the goal of pursuing justice.
