**********NEW CLASSES WILL START AUGUST 2025**********

Hello and thank you for your interest in this Law Enforcement Cadet Program.

My name is Lance Davis and I am your Instructor for this socially easygoing but very informative Police Cadet Program. In this Ongoing program, students (cadets) will get valuable information about the Criminal Justice field which includes weekly topics related to Law Enforcement, the Court System, and Correctional Institutions.

This program is broken into sections, starting with the Basics (LE History, Getting Hired, What to expect at the Police Academy, etc.), then moving on into the Role of a Patrol Officer (this is VERY BROAD but VERY INFORMATIVE), followed by advancing to the role of an Investigator or Detective (Yes, you will learn how to solve basic crimes), and finally from January-March. we will end up spending 9-sessions in an Investigative Reality Role Play Scenario.

This is an ongoing class with breaks in-between. This program is mainly tailored for ages 13-18 because of the nature of some topics (there is some language and violence that may not be suitable for some so please be aware of this). This Police Cadet course isn't just about topics related to criminal justice, but it is also a character building and discipline training program as well. Cadets will be educated through several ways including: Lecture, Guest Speakers (when available) that are knowledgeable in the field, Videos, Role Plays, Peer Reviews, Group competitions, etc. Plus, we will always socialize in every class. Another awesome thing about this class is on the 1st Sunday, or Monday, of each month, we will watch either: Traffic stops, Vehicle pursuits, or SWAT Raid videos and discuss the pros and cons of each one. I call this "Extreme Sundays (or Mondays).

Due to my daily schedule, I am only able to teach this program on the times/dates listed on Sunday's and Monday's. Sorry for any inconvenience.

In this program, cadets will need to take notes in class and ask questions when something is not clear to them. There will be extra time at the end of class for questions and answers. ACTIVE PARTICIPATION, CAMERAS ON, AND NOTE TAKING IN THIS PROGRAM IS REQUIRED.

This Ongoing Junior Police Cadet Academy usually lasts for 40-45 minutes on most Sunday's or Monday's but may go a little longer on certain weeks. These will be announced in advance.
-> Please feel free to join anytime during the semester. You may be a little behind, but I will talk you through it to catch up.

REQUIREMENTS: there must be a minimum of 2 students enrolled 3-days prior to the 1st day of class. I do require active participation (you learn so much more by participating), and cameras must be on at all times.

PLEASE READ ->
