Description
Class Experience
In this class, students will be given a brief overview on how a real lava lamp works. Then we will discuss the different scientific concepts that will play a part in the creation of our very own lava lamps. These concepts will include density and chemical reactions. The students will follow the scientific method to create their own lava lamp using a jar, water, vegetable oil, food coloring, and alka seltzer tablets.
