Laugh Laugh Surprise Attack! Will You Get Caught by the Laugh Attack?Mysterygame

Join this mystery game, but be careful you might just get the Laugh Attack! OR you may be the one giving the surprise to others! In this one-time class, kids will have fun playing a mystery game, laughing and guessing who the culprit is. UPDATE: No game materials needed prior to class. I have reworked the game and added on even more "roles"! This class will run at least 2 rounds of the game during 1 class session so that each learner can have a chance to be at least 2 different characters! *Game needs at least 4 learners to work, but would be optimal with more because then additional roles can be added. I will adapt based off of how many learners enroll but just please do know that with a smaller group there may just be the role of King/Queen with no additional roles other than villagers. We will play more rounds within that class period to balance out the fewer variety of roles and smaller group.* *****Enrollment closes 15 minutes prior to class beginning to ensure game materials are successfully received.***** This ensures that class time is not taken to troubleshoot or help learners find their document that was sent through Outschool's platform's messenger system. I have tried my best to accommodate in previous games for newcomers and those who did not know how to access the document, but this will now be done during the 15 minutes prior to the start of class as to not take up any game time. Thank you for your understanding. Similar to the camp game around the bonfire that some of you may have experienced, this version is completely original with instead of it being if you get winked at, you will get a LAUGH ATTACK! How it works: (Directions will be explained at the start of class. This is mostly a learn by doing and just start playing kind of game) >One kid will be randomly selected to be King/Queen Laughter, and their job is to spread the giggles among their townspeople! Everyone who is not the current King/Queen any given game round will be considered a towns-person unless they are randomly selected for one of the other roles. >After each Laugh Attack, the whole group will vote on who they think the culprit is! Majority rules, even if it does not end up being the King/Queen of Laughter! So tread carefully, or you may just vote out one of your own! (No outs, everyone continues playing until King/Queen's discovered which prompts a new round of the game) > I will serve as the facilitator (and maybe play in the game too!) guiding learners with their roleplaying and creating a storyline when getting Laugh Attacked and sharing HOW it happened! Imagination is key and anything is possible! Schedule: Hello/Greetings Icebreaker activity Game explained and Q &A It's GAME TIME! Goodbyes/Warm fuzzies

Hi!! Thanks for visiting! :)
I'm Ms. Jennie, and I am SO excited to be teaching on Outschool! I am so grateful for the opportunity I have had and continue to have to reach so many learners and feel like I am making a difference in their lives which is exactly why I started teaching on this platform. I began teaching on Outschool when the pandemic hit and I wanted so much to reach out and give a hug and say everything is going to be okay to my class at that time. Then thinking about how many kids out there are experiencing such a drastic change I hoped that one way I could help was by connecting kids from around the globe going through a similar experience and make new friends and have at least 1 consistent thing to look forward to, a social group that just focused on having fun! The shared experiences, sweetest messages from families, and watching my learners grow over the past few years have been so impactful and meaningful to me and something I value greatly.

REWIND; A bit about me:
I have 5 years of teaching experience in the public schools as a certified Early Childhood Educator teaching a variety of students with differing needs and abilities. Specifically, I have taught two years in a Kinder/First/Second grade self-contained classroom working with several students with special needs: learning disability, developmental delay, emotional/behavioral disability, and autism. I have also worked alongside a Reading Specialist utilizing a direct instruction program (LLI) teaching reading and writing interventions to small groups who needed extra help. My most recent experience is teaching Preschool before the pandemic hit and now I’m here on Outschool!
My Philosophy:
Children are naturally curious about the world around them. Research shows that when you can provide meaningful experiences that connect with the child’s natural interest, it enhances their learning and engagement. I believe in this as well and that learning can be fun and exciting especially when I incorporate each learner’s unique strengths and interests into the content being taught. In addition, I believe that every student can learn, it just may not be in the same way or at the same pace as others and that is okay! I fully believe in my learners abilities and part of my job is to make sure they believe in themselves too!
~Sometimes the greatest thing we can do for children is to instill the confidence in them to believe that they can and so therefore they will. ~
