In this one time class, learners will make festive Latinx style ornament. Many people celebrate with festive ornaments during winter time. These colorful ornaments can be hung on a tree, windows, or anywhere you want to brighten up with some color. Mexican Folk Art usually includes decorated hearts with flowers, flames, or even crowns. They are often colorful and unique to Latinx or Mexican folk art in the Americas. No sew pattern will be provided prior to class time. Other than following a pattern, no other prior skills are necessary. The supply list can be found below. This class is designed to be fun and a great way to work our creative mind. Parents are welcome to join and help students in class. One Heart pattern will be provided upon enrollment. Learner Supplies needed: ---Card stock or cardboard for backing ---Colored felt sheets. There are different levels of stiffness to felt. Some is flexible while other felt has more form to it. Learners may need some help with this part depending on how cooperative the felt is :) ---Scissors. ---Craft Glue ---Pen or Marker to trace patterns onto felt (chalk works well on the black felt, too) ---Embellishments- I like pipe cleaners and sequins. Pom poms, buttons, glitter glue or anything parents approve will work great! ---Ribbon or craft string to create a loop to hang completed ornaments See my other classes for other patterns like nopal, cactus, Frida, and many more :) -Sometimes my classes can go over by a few mins. Learners are welcome to leave as soon as time is over if they need to go :) No Sew Crafts Latinx-Style Ornaments Folk Art Heart

Parental Guidance
Pattern will be sent to students upon enrollment. Depending on the experience working with felt, learners may benefit from parent guidance and supervision, especially since we will be using scissors to cut and trace patterns. Parents are welcome to join and students in class to help with cutting smaller pieces. We may also need parents to create a hole on the completed ornaments with a paperclip/pen to hang our loop.
Supply List
Pattern will be sent to students upon enrollment. Students will need felt, (colors depend on learner choice). Learners will need scissors, craft glue, and any embellishments you might have around. I used pipe cleaners, sequins, and something to tie off a loop to hang. Smaller pom poms, buttons, glitter glue or anything parents approve will work great!
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
