Homework
1-2 hours per week. Work on materials learned during tutoring.Class Experience
** Please suggest another time if the time I have listed does not work for you.*** My availability changes as I wind up tutoring my students out of needing me after 1-2 semesters working together. Learning another language can be confusing. Latin is a great first foreign language, as you probably know. Sometimes, foreign language classes move too fast for students to be able to learn proficiently before the teacher moves on. At other times, some teachers can't meet the needs of every kind of learner in the class. This causes students to get very frustrated and fall behind. Let me help your student catch up, stay on top of, or gain more proficiency in the Latin language. Each week the student will need to come to class with material(s) that they would like to work on. Students can bring specific homework woes or general ones ie not understanding verb ending changes in Latin. Each class is tailored to the student and their needs each week. I teach basics through song and repetition. I catch students up to their peers by focusing on hard-to-understand concepts and tricks I've learned along the way. I have experience with these curriculums: Minimus, Minimus Secundus, Cambridge Unit 1, and Latin A for children. I can also teach generalities like verbs, declensions, and parsing sentences. I will also tutor students to be successful on their National Latin Exams.
Learning Goals
To improve their Latin.
