Class Experience
In this class, we will learn how to play Salsa music on the piano. We will review how to play chords with the left hand such as A minor, C Major, G Major, F Major, and E Major. Additionally, we will learn how to play various styles of Salsa music like the popular Cuban Style Son Montuno. My teaching style is to introduce the concept, present it and then get the students to apply while receiving encouragement and positive feedback. Learning Objectives Review basic chords used in Salsa such as A minor, Chord, D minor, G Major, and E Major Practice playing Son Montuno-style Salsa in A minor Play a variation of Miami Sound Machine Salsa Lessons will cycle every (4 weeks) - drop in style. The course is a 4-week course and students can continue subscribing every month or subscribe to private lessons if needed. Week 1 (January 7th, 2023) Learn how to play a Salsa piece using Am and G Major Week 2 (January 14th, 2023) On this day, we will learn how to play Son Montuno Rhythm in Am Week 3 (January 21st, 2023) On this day, we will learn how to play a Salsa Rhythm using C Major and D Minor Week 4 (January 28th, 2023) On this day, we will learn how to play a Salsa Rhythm using C Major, F Major, G Major
