Salve! This is an introductory Latin course to help your young learner dive into the language. Over a fun filled 8 week semester, we will revive the language of Latin! In a fun, engaging learning environment we will implement music, videos, and visual tools to aid in comprehension. Students will begin class by learning a new mythological story, Latin phrase, and an English word that derives from Latin. At the end of our session, students will be quizzed to see how much of this information they remember. Students will mainly focus on correctly reading and pronouncing Latin text. Your young learner will expand their vocabulary, knowledge of the Ancient Greek and Roman worlds, and enjoy themselves learning an exciting language! Students will receive homework following each lesson to reinforce what was learned in each lesson. All documents will be provided at no additional cost. I look forward to seeing your young learner in the classroom!
