Class experience
Latin I introduces students to the Latin language by incorporating Latin into the English grammar curriculum. Latin is a course that will teach students how to pronounce, write, read and understand Latin texts. In addition, students will increase their vocabulary banks, improve their grammar skills and establish a firm understanding of the foundations of the Latin language and also Roman culture. I am fluent in Latin, having studied it privately, and have subsequently taught high school Latin for over a decade.
Homework Offered
Students will be expected to read 10-20 pages a week and complete ~5 pages of homework per week. Students are expected to come to class prepared and read to discuss the weeks readings2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
