In this class, students will learn Latin using stages 1 - 5 in the first unit of Cambridge Latin
Class experience
There are so many good reasons to learn Latin. Latin helps students build vocabulary, a real plus when it comes to college entrance exams. Latin also helps students to lay a firm foundation before learning other languages. Students will be able to more easily launch into learning one of the romance languages like Spanish, French, Romanian, Italian, or Portuguese after taking Latin. Students will learn Latin words and increase their vocabulary and translation skills.
I taught Latin in a classical model school up until the 21/22 school year. I also have been teaching Latin on Outschool.
Homework Offered
Students will need to study Latin vocabulary each week. They will also need to complete translation exercises. They will also need to do workbook pages to enhance their learning, watch videos when applicable, and take quizzes to show what they have learned.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class

Students will need to complete homework throughout the course in order to be able to take the next section which covers Stages 6 - 9. Without completed homework, students will not be successful as the book increases in difficulty.
