Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 7
This is the fourth in a series of Language Workout classes, however they can be taken in any order. This class focuses on editing of multiple errors in areas such as spelling,clarity. contractions, figurative language and delves deeper into proper paragraphs, quotations , and writing of dialogue. Revision is also a much larger part of this class, replacing words and phrases with ones that are more specific to the situation, emotions of the characters, and clarity of the moment in the plot....
- Students will be learning and practicing editing and revising skills including Editing of spelling , contractions, homonyms, homophones, figurative language, punctuation, proper paragraphs, punctuation Revision of proper dialogue, replacement words for said, replacement of words for more precise and specific words that show emotion and increased detail
A pack that will be emailed to the learner 3-4 days prior to the class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
A packet will be sent to each participant viat e-mail 3-4 days prior to class. I also suggest learners print a page from the computer after searching something like "Ways to say said without using said." Use of a thesaurus, either online or in book fair would be a great asset, but not necessary.
