Description
Class Experience
tudents will be able to identify spelling patterns and apply them to new words. Students will improve their command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking. Students will conduct short research projects that build knowledge through investigation of different aspects of a topic. Students will be able to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development and organization are appropriate. With guidance and support from peers and adults, develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising, and editing.
Our educators have a combined decade of experience in traditional classroom settings as well as virtual teaching. We differentiate or teaching to meet the needs of a wide variety of learners. We are both life-long learners and want to share our love of learning with your child!
Students are encouraged to read independently a book of their choice for 20 minutes each day.
Materials are included in the price of the class.
Students will be assessed formally and informally on an ongoing basis. A formal letter grade can be provided upon request at the beginning of the quarter.
