Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, I am so glad to be here and to share a little about myself. First of all, I love kids of all ages, and I love to teach them. I enjoy their zeal for life, and I want to capture that in a love for learning through my classes. I want to inspire students to become life long learners. I am a 20 year veteran Language Arts teacher, grades 7-12. I have also taught 3rd, 5th and 6th grades as well as worked in Kindergarten, giving me experience with children of all ages. I love teaching grammar, reading, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, etc. I am an avid reader and enjoy working with kids through reading and exploring the various genres of literature along with the elements of fiction with older students.
In addition, I love cooking and sewing and various crafts. I hope to develop classes in some of these areas in the new year. I would love to hear what your child is interested in as I explore new avenues of instruction.
I am married to the love of my life for 40 years. We have three adult children and five grandsons. We live in Georgia. We love to camp and to visit our children all across the country. from here to Alaska.
I can't wait to meet your child and to get to teach them.
For those of you who know me, I have been away for the last several months as my husband and I have built a new house and are finally getting settled. I am back and looking forward to seeing my former students again and meeting new ones as well. Welcome to my class. Teacher Linda
