What will be taught: 
This is a class where students review what they learned or know about sentences. 
We will review the rules of subject, predicate, compound, run - on  and fragments sentences.
Students will practice subject/predicate  sentences. 
Students will practice sentences that need the comma or the word "and" 
Students will have a writing challenge in writing a short paragraph in correcting errors in sentence by making it two separate sentences to make it sound more interesting....

Students will have a review and understand the sentence rules on subject/predicates, compound sentences using "and" or "comma"
and students will review run-on sentences and how show how to fix it.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Nearpod

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
