Class Experience

Throughout this class students will learn easy hacks for the important skills and strategies needed to master the ELA standards.  During the school year many teachers focus on analyzing specific texts, but that content is not addressed on standardized exams.  this class will give Outschoolers easy and effective hacks to understand and answer standards-based ELA questions.  Each class will use the "I do - we do - you do" format to provide students with an opportunity to see the hack modeled,...

Student swill learn easy hacks to help them master the middle grades ELA standards.

Students will periodically be asked to pre-read a text to ensure that we can maximize our time together.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Youtube

1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

Youtube videos will be used to to enhance learning ELA topics.  Outschoolers will not require an account, all videos will be screen shared.
