Description
Class Experience
Students will improve their observation skills and composition by regular practice. Understanding of perspective will also improve with practice, as every other week we will review one or two point perspective.
Students may choose to continue working on their drawings at home between classes. They may also find their own landscapes to draw, and share drawings in the beginning of each class.
Students will need a sketchbook or a folder with white drawing paper (if drawing paper isn't available, white copy paper is ok), a pencil, and an eraser. Other materials, such as ink pens, charcoal, pastels, colored pencils, etc. can be used in many of the sessions, too but these are always optional. A ruler is also suggested for the weeks when perspective drawings are scheduled.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Throughout the class, students will be sharing their work in progress with the teacher, to receive feedback and to solve problems as they come up. Students will be reminded of topics already covered in previous weeks to make sure they are using their knowledge to the best of their ability.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
