Class Experience

This is a beginner to intermediate level step by step instructional class on how to paint landscape paintings including wildlife, trees, rivers and mountains. These paintings are apart of my original collection of my landscape artwork that I have created and I am excited to share my techniques with my students. Some of my landscape paintings are currently showcased in art galleries!Join me in this exciting landscape art class!

Student artists will create a new project every week.In this ongoing class, we will create landscape acrylic paintings inspired by nature around us. This class will be step-by-step as I will provide exact instruction on how to paint the painting.

We will learn different painting techniques, such as "blending", "mixing colors", painting with a variety of brushes,”wet on wet technique ,detailing,Stippling and pointillism. We will also learn basic painting techniques such as how to create perspective in a painting and proportion.

I will begin class by greeting everyone and welcoming everyone to class. We will do a quick "supply check" before we begin each class. As we paint, students will be able to ask questions, share progress with one another, and are encouraged to interact with the teacher and students!

I love to encourage my students and my teaching style is very positive. My class room is fun and full of creativity so that students feel confident to try out new paintings!I believe there is no wrong in art and it is all about creation.I encourage practice and knowledge to build artistic skill sets.I teach on how to use the 'tools' we have available in art making. This environment will be supportive and encouraging for all students to create create masterpieces and try out new paintings.

Students will learn how to apply paints to canvas and follow instructions in an encouraging and fun group class with an art teacher with years of both art and teaching experience.

The teacher will give instructions on how to mix colors visually and assist students on color mixing. Please keep in mind some colors the teacher and student will already have on hand so mixing will not be required for every color.

Students are encouraged to seek feedback throughout class.

Most students will be done by the end of class but some students may need some time after class to finish up. Everyone works at a different speed!

A love for Art is encouraged and no prior knowledge or experience is required!
