In this one-time class we will learn about transportation that move on land, such as train, bus, and automobile. Also, transportation on sea, boats, ships, and canoes. Children will socialize with other young learners and make new friends.

Class Experience

In this one-time class young learners will learn about different modes of transportation that move on land and on sea. We will begin class with a brief introduction and class rules. We will begin class with a discussion about transportation on land and sea children will then take turns sharing land and sea toys, only if they feel comfortable to do so. We will play a transportation bingo game young learners will take turns naming objects and how they travel? I will use Manycam to display various transportation pictures on screen. We will end class with creating a train from shapes. I believe children learn best with hands on experience and guidance from the teacher. If time allows, I will finish class with a story from the list below. My class is a safe environment for all children to learn, interact and make new friends. I look forward to seeing your young learner in my Outschool classroom.

Hello, my name is Anna Contreras, I am a preschool teacher with twenty-five years’ experience. I have experience working with older children six to ten years old as a teacher assistant. I have two degrees, a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and an Associate Degree in Education.
 
My educational belief is every child has a right to a safe learning environment. As a teacher it is my responsibility to be a positive influence on children's love of learning and to foster their self-esteem. I love working with children, I am animated, silly, and fun which keeps children engaged and interested. In my experience children learn through laughter and silliness. 

Teaching tools I use are puppets, music, games, dance, musical instruments, I also use Manycam to display pictures on screen to engage children learning process. Classes I hope to teach on Outschool include early literacy, math and science, arts and crafts, nursery rhymes, music, and dance.
 
On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with my family, my husband and I have two adult sons, a daughter-in-law and four grandchildren. I love spending time with my two dogs, Marley, and Bella. I enjoy TikTok and learning new dances with my granddaughters.
