In these ongoing classes, we will be covering famous and less-known battles of World War Two. Students will be engaged in lessons where they will learn about who was involved in the battle, what weapons were used, the outcomes and lasting impacts, and any other interesting details that make each battle unique! We will explore images, maps, documents, and first-hand accounts of what soldiers and civilians endured during these intense battles. Occasionally, we will also cover other World War Two topics such as 'Life of a Soldier', 'The Hitler Youth', and 'The Home Front'. This is an ongoing class and each individual class focuses on a specific battle or topic from World War Two. In each session, students will be provided with background information leading up to the battle, specific details about the battles, and be provided opportunities to ask questions and interact with their peers. These classes will be in the form of slideshow presentations, discussions, and are intended to be informative. Students of all knowledge levels are welcome to join! Weekly Schedule for Tuesday section: September 3rd: Battle of the Atlantic September 10th: Battle of Stalingrad September 17th: Pacific Battles (Battle of Milne Bay, Guadalcanal Bay) September 24th: Invasion of Sicily October 1st: Women in WWII October 8th: Operation Citadel October 15th: Invasion of Italy October 22nd: Pacific Battles (Battle of Tarawa and Battle of Kwajalein) October 29th: Battle of Ortona and Battle of Monte Cassino November 5th: The Corrupt Krupps November 12th: The Great Escape / Operation Deadstick November 19th: D-Day November 26th: Battle of Saipan and Philippine Sea December 3rd: European Theater 1944 (The July Plot) December 10th: Operation Dragoon and Operation Market Garden December 17th: Life of a Soldier Winter break, course will be continued in 2025. *The course page will be updated with topics as we continue along. Students are welcome to join the course at any point and background information will be provided with each lesson to help students understand the current time in the war. Learning Goals
Students will learn about various battles that occurred during World War Two.
Students will gain an understanding of the type of weaponry and battle styles that were used by opposing armies.
Students will learn about bonus topics that are related to the battles of World War Two.

Parental Guidance
This course covers World War Two battles and events related to this time period. We will be discussing the realities of war, however, images, videos, and content will be monitored to ensure it is age-appropriate and educational in the sense that it will help students better understand what happened.
