This is a 3 week class that is a continuation of the Lake Michigan Lighthouses class. It will also included 5 famous shipwrecks on Lake Michigan . There are so many lighthouse to look at on Lake Michigan and in the prior class Lake Michigan Lighthouse we ran out of time to really see all there was to view. This class will utilize alot of Google slide pictures and video as we tour Lake Michigans Lighthouses. There will be a presentation of some of the different shipwrecks on Lake Michigan. There will be a short presentation and discussion about each light house. Student will be expected to participate in the class discussions at least one time during the class. Classroom etiquette is expected at all times. During class we will look at pictures, video's (if available) and discuss the history of many of the Lake Michigan Lighthouses and shipwrecks. Week 1: Competition of Upper and Lower Peninsula Lighthouses Week 2: Finish Lighthouse and begin with shipwrecks Week 3: Finish Shipwrecks
Learning Goals
Students will gain an understanding of the various lighthouses and shipwrecks and the history of each.
