Class Experience

Students will learn a “Hello” and “Goodbye” song, enjoy adorable puppets and pretend play, learn two complete songs all about food, hear a fun story and learn to count from 1-10 all in American Sign Language!
Miss Dena has been teaching beginner ASL for 8 years, she is cheerful and patient with young learners and will meet them exactly where they are, developing their abilities through repetition and song. All of her classes are well-planned and designed to engage children in a fun and relaxed way, while instilling a love of learning through music and play!
Simply practice the signs from class by showing your friends and family what you have learned!
Students should have one small toy animal and one piece of play food handy for pretend play during our picnic class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
