Reading fluency is one of the key pillars of success in reading. When a reader becomes fluent they are able to decode words and focus their attention on the meaning of a reading passage. 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
While singing nursery rhymes is fun, we want to advance students past songs that they have memorized. Songs that are chosen will be edited versions that are appropriate for students but some parental guidance is advised.
