KS3 Lessons on Medieval Life

At the end of the module, students should be able to: 

    • Describe the culture in towns and villages during the Middle Ages particularly jobs and industry;
    • Identify the major events that defined the Middle Ages;
    • Assess the impact of the leadership of kings who ruled in the Middle Ages;
    • Understand the reasons why certain tactics and weapons were utilised in Medieval Warfare;
    • Understand the ideas of the cause of disease and the approaches to treatment in the Middle Ages

I have over ten years teaching experience in bilingual, state and international schools. I've taught KS3 - A levels History and Geography;  Humanities and English as a Foreign Language in classroom and online settings. I’m also a Cambridge International Education (CIE) History Assessment Specialist/ Assistant Examiner. 

I enjoy teaching students of different ability levels and cultural backgrounds and take pleasure in making the subject interesting for my students. I also like to help students achieve their academic potential and get students inspired about the world around them. 
I have a proven track record including helping my students achieve the highest marks for Cambridge International Examinations IGCSE History in the whole of China (in June 2010 and June 2016 examinations).

Homework is optional.

Student work will not be ‘graded’ but will be assessed by reflecting on their own learning and progress and through teacher’s assessments.

45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
