Class experience
US Grade 7 - 10
Are you a bookworm or want to get better with reading? Are you also a Stay, Army, Once, MITZY, MOA, Atiny or an overall K-Pop lover? Then welcome to the club! Let’s dive further into the world of K-Pop and its amazing culture as we work our way through different levels of the K-Pop world. Each of these books will give an inside peak of what it is like to be an idol. One of our books is written by an idol herself! In each class we’ll go over the sections that we have read, play a fun game...
Students will socialize with peers about a common topic while learning more about culture, lifestyles and the kpop world. They will also gain confidence and broaden their reading abilities.
As an avid lifelong reader, I enjoy sharing my love of the written word with those around me. Any chance to engage in a discussion about a good book is a great time to me! Combining a tried and true passion with another, in the form of K-Pop and music, is bound to make a fun and engaging class time.

Learners will need their own copies of the books we are reading. This can be a purchased copy or one from the library. For a purchased copy students will need page flags, post-its, pens and highlighters for annotating. For borrowed copies students will need post-its, page flags, pens and a notebook for annotating.
Each of the books we read will be between the age ranges of 12 to 16 years old. Some of the books may feature sensitive materials such as bullying, racism, body shaming, sexuality and over all conflicts. We will discuss each of these with sensitivity and care, encouraging our fellow learners to grow beyond hardships just like our characters. Each discussion will be held in an age-appropriate manner. This classroom is a safe space for learner to be respected, and supported.
