In this beginning korean class students will be introduced to Korean songs and learn vocabulary words while applying math AB pattern. For example, students will chorally respond to add the missing pattern for star, moon, star, moon, ? (as teacher teaches the Korean vocabulary using visuals and props. Students will be introduced to colors, numbers, fruits, silverware, and food items with the “what comes next pattern. Students will be engaged and apply new vocabulary through questions, songs, finger puppets and share time. Teacher will encourage participation with fun props during review of new vocabulary. Then, students will learn new songs to reinforce vocabulary. Students are welcome to bring their stuffed animal friends to join the fun. This is not an immersion class. Hangul or Korean speaking experience is not necessary. We will practice beginning Korean vocabulary and have a great time! We will sing Korean birthday song and color song. At the end of class, students will be able to share their favorite fruit and color in Korean.

Hi, welcome to my profile page! I am a certified teacher with a Bachelors in Liberal Studies and a Masters in Education. I have been teaching for fifteen years in various roles as a classroom teacher in both general education classrooms and special education classrooms. I taught as a classroom teacher at a STEM based school, as a classroom teacher at a visual and performing arts school, a Kindergarten literacy master teacher and a special education teacher for students with autism and mild to moderate disabilities. These wonderful experiences have given me the knowledge, skills and effective strategies to provide my students with tools they can utilize in their daily lives and in their learning.
I’m excited to share my love of teaching and life long learning with students on Outschool.
I am passionate about integrating a "whole brain teaching approach" to lessons and making learning interactive and memorable. I believe every student has a talent, learns differently, and should be challenged appropriately. My goal is for my students to leave class feeling successful, inspired and excited to learn more. I believe in Alfred Mercier’s quote,” What we learn with pleasure we never forget.”
