Class Experience

In this four week flex class course, students will be introduced to basic Korean grammar! Students will learn to be or not to be, subject and object markers, to have/not to have, and negative sentences! The class will be very fun and easy going, and will encourage a love of the language! We will practice these grammar points by making our own sentences- let's have fun and learn Korean! This class will be very interactive as students will post videos/voice recordings of them speaking in Korean, post pictures of their work, and we will have a section for students to practice conversing one another in Korean! Each week I will post a pre-recorded video explaining the concepts below, then I will post discussion questions, challenge activities, or ask students to share examples of their work daily in the classroom. Here is a rough outline of each class:

Week 1: Video teaching to be or not to be. We will have a self introduction discussion in the classroom, students will post an audio/video recording introducing themselves to the class so that the students can interact and get to know each other, and I will post a discussion question to the class about the first lesson along with an interactive game on Kahoot, nearpod, or other similar games.

Week 2: Video teaching subject and object markers. Students will post an audio or video recording of themselves speaking several of the sentences from this class, and I will post an interactice quiz game to the classroom that will help students practice what they have learned.

Week 3: Video teaching to have and to not to have. I will post several other resources that will expand students knowledge of this form, and an interactive game on Kahoot or Quizlet that will help students practice what they have learned this week.

Week 4: Video teaching negative sentences. Students will post an audio or video recording of themselves using the tenses they have learned throughout the course, and several sentences from this week's lesson. We will also have a discussion in class about what they have learned, and students will share an example of some of their work throughout this course. I will also post an interactive game.
