In this 10 week course we will work on technique, chords and strumming patterns while we learn new songs and play games.
Class experience
This class is meant to follow Kooky Ukeys: Beginner Basics in a private 1 on 1 weekly lesson. We will continue to work on technique for ukulele while learning new chords, TAB, strumming patterns and of course new songs to play and sing. I teach in a fun way incorporating some lecture, lots of time for questions, play along, play and repeat, review games, some video clips and of course sharing and discussion. Students will learn a variety of chords dependent on the songs we learn. They will also learn at least 3 different strumming patterns. In 10 weeks time we will learn 5 to 6 new songs.
I have a degree in music education and have been teaching music for 24 years. I have been teaching ukulele on outschool for 3 years.
Homework Offered
Homework will be suggested in the form of "this week you could practise _____." I would hope students could practise 15-20 minutes on 2 to 3 days a week.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
