Kong's influence reaches beyond movies. Some may think Kong just appeared in the theaters in the last 10 years but it has been before WWII and Godzilla. He has been around since the 1930s, as he is one of the coolest monsters on TV Earth. He is misunderstood. In this ongoing class, students will learn some of the basics from Kong as he is different, some of his interesting fun facts. This class is a basic overview of Kong but does not go into advanced discussions that may be too much for the new learner. Therefore, this class is not necessarily geared towards learners with advanced knowledge of Kong Either Join Wednesday or Saturday, it is the same class for different times to accommodate for time differences. Learners are welcomed to bring their action figures. Week 1) Titanus Kong Week 2) Titanus Gojira Week 3) The 4 Species of Gojira Week 4) Skull Crawlers Week 5) Skull Island Tiger Week 6) Siren Jaw Week 7) Mire Squid Week 9) Mother Long Legs Week 10) Arachno Claw Week 11) Foetodon
Learning Goals
This class will be more of a lecture-style (yet interactive) class with a PowerPoint, photos, some video footage or photos, and fascinating facts about this amazing monster. We will have conversations about Kong,Godzilla, Skull Island and Hollow Earth and students are encouraged to ask questions and discuss, nut being respectful of others.
