Class Experience
Counting Forwards and Backwards Counting to 100 Skip Counting by 5s Spelling Words for Number Names Addition and Subtraction Problem Solving Strategies Decoding Number Sentences Patterns
Elementary Before and After School Director (supported Elementary Level Math HW) 8 years PreK Teacher Introduced Early Math Concepts to students going to K PreK Homeschool Teacher, prepared a 5year old to enter Kindergarten in the upcoming year, engaged with Math Concepts Kindergarten Homeschool Teacher, did a full year of Kindergarten Math 2021-2022 HCPS School Year; student passed and transitioned into 1st grade at local Public School for 2022-2023.
Homework will be assigned on an as needed and ongoing basis. Mostly through suggestions on follow up learning or ways to practice at home with friends or family. May sometimes be printed or instructions for how to play a game.
Paper, Pencil, Crayons, Markers (to complete scratch work on) Homework will be sent through Classroom, need ability to print
During our final two weeks a larger project or "Assessment" will be administered. We will make a Math boardgame that includes all of our concepts. It will serve as a keepsake and a way for them to teach what they are learning to others and continue learning it long after out course!
2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
