Class Experience
In this on-going class, students will learn about one nation each week, including some you might not have even heard of! They will learn where the country is, its' capital, the languages landmarks, and fun facts. Classes will also include basic geography lessons including, latitude and longitude, cardinal directions, and other geography themes. Students will gain greater awareness for world geography and world cultures. They will learn fun and interesting facts about countries that are well known and some they might not have even heard of!
I have a BS in political science,have taken several courses on geography, and am finishing my Masters of Elementary Education in May 2023. I am a former elementary school teacher. I absolutely love geography, and in college my friends called me "Maps" because I was a geography nerd. I tutored geography at the college level.
No homework or outside class work. Just come and learn!

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This is not a politics class. World news, events, and opinions will not be discussed. Should such matters arise, it will be handled in a professional and unbiased manner, and students will be directed to ask their parents such questions after class.
