Class Experience
Learners will practice their multiplication facts 6-12 by playing a group game/activity for the first half of class to practice and warm up our multiplication minds. Then the second half of class will be spent partnered up and playing Battleship Multiplication! This game was always a student favorite in the classroom. Students will improve their accuracy and speed of multiplication facts 6-12.
I have my BS in Early Childhood Education and developed this Battleship Multiplication game during student teaching. The game was a student favorite in my classroom and it helped them gain fact fluency.
Students will need to print out their battleship game board which will be posted in the classroom once enrolled in this class. You can put it in a clear sheet protector and use dry erase markers to reuse the same game board class after class or print out a new sheet each time. students will need 2-3 colors of pens or pencils to write on their game boards.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Some classes will begin with a short assessment activity to determine where students need extra practice.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
