In this Crochet club, students can gather twice per week to practice their social skills and their crocheting techniques!

Class experience

Students will: learn helpful Crochet tips, practice their Crochet stitches, receive feedback on their current projects, be exposed to different patterns and meet new friends with similar interests.
I am an OCT-certified teacher with a Canadian teaching degree and 5+ years of online teaching experience. Previously, I have taught Art at the primary level and feel confident in my abilities to support young learners. I also Crochet consistently myself and have made objects such as scarves, hats, cloths, purses, tote bags, headbands and more!
Homework Offered
There will not be any homework assigned during this class. However, students are encouraged to bring the current Crochet projects/ideas that they have been working on independently.
Assessments Offered
Students will be provided with informal feedback when applicable.
Grades Offered
Crochet hook(s)
Stitch Markers (optional)
Scissors to cut their yarn
Tapestry needle (large enough to weave ends if/when necessary)
Tape measurer/ruler (optional)
Please note: there are situations in which this class will be broken down into two groups during the 2nd half of the session. This means that the teacher will rotate between the two groups and students will have some independent time to get to know their peers, make conversation and practice their social skills. This will only happen when the session is booked to maximum capacity or close to, and the teacher is wanting to provide more talk time for each learner.
Please note, students may need to use scissors and/or tapestry needles if they are cutting or weaving in yarn. If not used properly, these tools can be a safety concern so please ensure your student is comfortable with these tools or is monitored when using these tools.
We will sometimes refer to websites or images of Crochet examples to provide inspiration or ideas.
