Students will improve their dexterity and learn a life-long skill by learning to knit.
Mrs. Borton has been crafting since she was a child. She is an enthusiastic knitter and has lost count of the hats, scarves, sweaters, and socks she has made. Mrs. Borton has taught hundreds of young people how to knit in a weekly knitting club and has taught knitting at a local craft store.
1. One skein of yarn in a size 4. This can be of any fiber content, but acrylic, acrylic-wool blend, or wool will be the easiest to use. The yarn should be a smooth yarn, and not one that has a lot of bumps or loops. 2. 10" straight knitting needles in size 7 or 8. Bamboo needles are easy for beginners to use but you may use whatever needles you have or want! 3. small pair of blunt scissors
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
