Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.
Mrs. Borton has taught hundreds of students to knit at her school through her ongoing knitting club. She has also taught knitting at a craft store in her town. Now, Mrs. Borton is teaching knitting on Outschool!
Students will need the following: 1. Yarn in acrylic, acrylic-wool blend, or wool. The yarn should be fairly smooth and a size 5 or 6. 2. Knitting needles in a size 9 or 10. Bamboo needles in a 10" length work well for beginners. 3. Scissors to cut yarn.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be using knitting needles and scissors, which can be sharp. Parents may need to be present to help younger students.
