Welcome to Knit Kids! This course is designed to teach kids the fundamentals of knitting and give them a strong foundation to stand on as they begin to journey through this hobby. This course is 4 weeks long and meets once a week for 4 weeks. Classes are designed to build upon each other so that students can progressively move forward as they build their knitting knowledge and skills. This class will allow a maximum of 4 students at a time intentionally keeping the students small for this course so that they can learn together and no one is left behind. With that being said, each student will progress differently and it’s not guaranteed that your students will move as swiftly as others and that is ok. Students will be introduced to the basics of knitting. This class is perfect for the individual who has never touched a set of knitting needles before or has tried to knit but couldn't get the hang of it. Students will spend 4 weeks in this course. Each week they will practice what they have learned in class for that week, and then the following week will build upon the skills learned in the previous class. We will cover the basics of knitting, how to do the basic stitches, and how to read a pattern. You can review the class syllabus to see exactly what will be covered each week.
