Knit and Chat: A Social Knitting Circle for Ages 8-12
In this ongoing class, students will bring their current knitting project (or yarn and needles they want to turn into one) and find encouragement, help with common knitting problems, inspiration, and most importantly, new friends!

Knitting is more fun when you have friends who knit! Students will build conversation and relationship skills while they nurture their interest and confidence in knitting. Each week I will bring something new to share with the group. Sometimes it will be past project of mine, a sample pattern, some delicious yarn, or even my own current project. Students will bring and share their own knitting successes and frustrations to share with the group. While we knit and talk, students will practice sharing about their work and offering support and encouragement to each other. I will offer support and guidance for common knitting problems and instruction on new techniques. Plus, we will have fun!

Your latest knitting project, or some yarn of your choice (I suggest something smooth and not overly fuzzy), and needles in size 6-8, or whatever size you prefer.
