After a quick recap of the basics, we will add a few common moves to our repertoire. Learners will then be paired up to play against each other and practice their skills as I provide feedback for their games. If there is an uneven number of learners, I will play against remaining learners. Prerequisite: Knights of the Checkerboard: Intro to Chess (Part 1) or very basic knowledge of chess. Students who are fast learners will be ok to pick up the basics from the recap and are able to join...
Learners will be required to create an account on Chess.com and provide their username in the classroom prior to the class in order to play chess matches against other learners.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
