Make the learning blues history with Kitty Kat Detective Mysteries. I help children to explore and develop confidence in their social skills and inspire a love of learning, creativity and critical thinking through play. In this ongoing, fun class students (kittens) will join The Kitty Kat Detective Agency International as apprentice detectives and attend school together 3 days a week. This class combines 3 of my most popular ongoing classes + a little bit extra. Leap in any time as each class stands alone and does not depend on prior knowledge. If you leap in part way through a week I will refund the classes you missed earlier in the week. Class 1 is Math Cats. Each week we will explore a different topic. Class 2 is The Social Club with a new mystery every week where learners will get to practice some of the math skills from Math Cats. They create their own cat in the club space, give it accessories and share their mews (kitty kat news) for the week. Class 3 is Drama Cats learners will play confidence-building games. I trained at a top drama school in London and create devised theatre and inclusive dance performances. I have been a teacher in schools and further education for the last 15 years. I specialize in teaching drama, English, maths, enterprise, and working with students with learning disabilities. In December 2020 I left my full-time job teaching maths, drama, and citizenship in a secondary school for autistic learners to work full time at The Kitty Kat Detective Agency International.
I am passionate about inclusion and mastery. I am skilled at teaching complex concepts using simple visual methods. I use my acting training to retell magical stories with fun, maths puzzles, and games woven in with top tips for individual students on how to develop their maths and communication skills.
I set up The Kitty Kat Detective Agency International as lockdown began inspired by my son's love of mysteries, maths, and cats and I love it so much I never take my whiskers off.
